Superstar articling student wanted for September 2015 (ish) start.
You need experience.
We need help.
Let's make this happen.
Are you looking for an articling job where you will actually learn how to practice law?
Want courtroom experience? Want to run your own files? Want a challenging but reasonable workload? Want your evenings and weekends to create your life and enjoy your family and friends? Want to work with people who you'll have to ask to keep it down because they are laughing all day?
No, we are not kidding.
Don't believe us?
We asked our old articling student, Chris Dawson, to help me with this post by sharing a few words about his time with the firm. Here is what he wants you to know:
I am so fortunate to have worked with Val and her team of lawyers and staff. I've had much more hands-on experience than I thought was possible for an articling student. I regularly get to meet with clients. I managed my own files. I appear in court on substantial matters. It's awesome.
I'm an active and respected part of the team and not just a cog in the wheel. Sure, I do the usual researching and memo writing, but I also get to take on interesting and exciting challenges. I'm coming out of my articles with a well rounded experience and will have so much more confidence when I start practising as a lawyer. Everyone treats each other with fairness, dignity and respect. Oh, and there are no obligatory team sports either. Just fun pub nights and bleary-eyed early morning Hemminger Law Group family breakfasts (completely optional!). Landing a position with Val is a golden opportunity. Thanks, guys!
So, do you think you have what it takes to join the Hemminger Law Group family?
Brains. Humour. Determination. Creativity. Excellent work ethic.
